Daughter of Thunder... In Mark 3 Jesus goes up the mountain, prays, and then summoned those he wanted. The twelve. The ones who would be with him, learn his message, preach, and have the authority to drive out demons. Among the twelve were James and John, which he gave the name Boanerges, Sons of Thunder. About a year ago in our LifeGroup we went through Mark 3 and discussed characteristics of the twelve apostles and challenged our girls to see which one they related to the most. Well, for those of you who know me, know I am a Daughter of Thunder. John is described as the disciple whom Jesus loved. Had a fiery temperament and special devotion. He impacted the early church, had a larger than life personality and is the gospel of LOVE. Now, there are definitely some relateable characteristics to different apostles but I related to the ones that I seek out for my daily life, LOVE.
